It's almost midnight. I have a test at 8 am. We have tests every five days, approximately. I haven't gotten to bed before 3 for any of them. Tomorrow will be number four of six.

I don't want to make a bad grade but I'm seriously having trouble forcing myself to study. I made myself do it for the first 3. But losing this much sleep every five days is not sustainable, especially when I consider I'm only half done.

On another unrelated topic, I started scanning in a good portion of my huge box o' old drawings, some dating back to the late 90's. It's hilarious. takkunelwood, you're gonna love it. :) Gawd, I was a nerd, but it's still really fun and nostalgic going through that stuff.

I'm having toof issues. :C O plz let the dentist see me tomorrow. Till then I am patting myself on the back for saving my vicodinz from the last time I got teeth pulled. Besides the nauseau this stuff is so made of RAINBOWS.

I saw Hellboy 2 yesterday and may I saw AWESOME. Seems my friends either very much love Hellboy or very much hate him. I love it, Guillermo del Toro you are made of win, the imagery and visuals were like eye candy. I wish I could make such colorful and amazing characters etc.

LITLLE HELLBOY SO CUTE. LOL.

I was so not expecting Liz to get preggerz...WTF? But even more unexpected than that was that it didn't annoy me! I was juz like...woah...plot twistttt...I just figured they'd be together or something in this one but that kind of took it one giant leap forward. Neat tho! Not many movies pull off such a drastic twist without it annoying me or w/e.

Its ok tho cuz epic fight.

Dreams

I've had an urge to draw/paint my dreams lately. Last night, amongst other really weird things, I dreamed that Maddox got incredibly mad, semi-transformed, and killed this smug evil fat guy by smashing him in the head with a bottle of alcohol. I drew the scene right before that.

This entry could just as easily be titled "just how little Shara knows about composition."

There was something smug, malevolent, and untouchable about the fat man--like an end boss or something, but in real life. He sat down in the blue couch in the room with the sun pouring in. Whatever he was saying, it was egging Maddox on, bringing his blood to a boil. Maddox roared inhumanly, semi-transformed, and got threateningly in the fat guy's face, but the latter didn't even bat an eye. Maddox picked up the bottle and took a threatening swing at the man's head. "You don't even have the guts," sneered the fat man. Letting out another roar, Maddox yelled, "The hell I don't!" and slammed the bottle against the fat man's head like a one-handed baseball bat, sending him reeling and removing the smug expression on his face. The bottle didn't shatter because it was so big and the glass was so thick. Triumphant and angry, Maddox struck him hard several more times until he slumped over, certainly very injured if not dead.

BUT THATS ALL I DREW CAUSE I RAN OUT OF ART JUICE AT THAT POINT

And then, previously and x-posted on DA. This one I spent more time on:

I was in a cavern with walls carved into a tomb-like structure, and snow was everywhere and blowing outside. The walls were covered in some cryptic writing, partially obscured by the ice and snow. I turned around and the way back out was blocked by a ferocious lion-man, walking slowly toward me. I cast a magic spell on him, covering him in ice. He was the first of many enemies, all brutish and only semi-human.

Guess I need to lay off the caffeine before bed time or something. :/

(The subject is in reference to a song by MIKA, which was sort of a meme on an RP forum of which I'm a member...browsing my photobucket made me think of it...watch the music video on youtube if you haven't already. We did a lot of silly art as a result of this song.)

Class was canceled todayyyy! Well not my 8 o'clock (which would have just made me mad, to be honest, since I had to get up early anyway), but the afternoon one. Granted I still had to come up here but no class fine with me. My prof has been in the hospital since the session started though, and we've been having guest lecturers ever since. We found out today that he'd be more comfortable having the lectures at his house, and since there are only 5 of us, we were fine with that. It's a shorter drive for me, and profs always have awesome houses! :P Plus I think I'd rather sit anywhere than a desk for an hour and a half. Lol.

Here's another sneakie peekie at my contest entry, which I haven't had much time to work on thanks to a test today. CAUSE I GOT NOTHIN' BETTER AT THE MOMENT. This is a WIP

So the Fourth went great, Breckin and I drove to Lake Texoma and hung out with his dad and step-mom (they are really awesome people). I could get used to that. You can just sit around in the shade with a longneck, watching the boats go by, talking or reading or watching some TV. Or you can go for a swim or out on the jet-ski. Breckin took me out on the jet-ski on Sunday (my second ever time on one) and it was SUCH a blast. Definitely gonna have to repeat that experience real soon. I also went for a long swim around the marina, which really tired me out, but the water was warm and it was bright and just such a nice day. They also fed us really well while we were there....Breckin's dad grilled chicken and smoked ham for dinner both nights, and we had a home cooked breakfast every morning (heaven!). On the Fourth the marina wasn't doing fireworks like normal, but that didn't stop people all over the lake from putting on their own show. There were fireworks from shore to shore, and even some on the island. Beautiful! All in all, a nice weekend.

I hate to come back to school from a 3-day weekend, but here I am. :P Just gotta survive till mid-August...I get to take a week off school AND work. Maybe I'll go to the Grand Canyon. Yippee!

Tomorrow is the Fourth of July and I'm going to Breckin's dad's house at Lake Texoma to eat BBQ and watch fireworks (which is really the ONLY way to celebrate), and swim and jet ski and such. Much fun will be had. Hope everyone has a nice holiday!

YAAAAAAAAAAY!! I was so terrified I was not doing well in finance, and that I would have to do well on the final tomorrow....but me and Breckin added up the numbers and I'm gold, baby! I don't even have to take the final...she made it optional for people who needed the grade but....man, I'm so happy I don't have to take it!

Thus concludes my last Summer I ever. Now for Summer II. :P Operating systems, here I come.

**Iron Man and Kung Fu Panda**
You MUST see them if you haven't yet! Breckin and I just got back from Kung Fu Panda and it was awesome. Great writing, great voice talent, amazing visuals, and great music. What more could you want? Definitely getting them both when they come out on Blu-ray.

I got my hair cut short and there's a lousy picture of it. :P I LOVE HAVING SHORT HAIR, IT'S THE BEST.

A Walk in the Park
I had an amazingly beautiful walk through Brothers Park near where I live and also the Holistic Garden on campus.

Breckin and I went to his dad's lake house on Lake Texoma. Man, was it beautiful. Hopefully we can go back for July Fourth. There was a lot of lazing about...also the Rat Pack stayed with us (or at least a weird painting of them), and we got to play with Bebe the adorable dog.

1000 Plushie Kangaroos

Zane paced accusingly back and forth. Effervescent dread filled his heart. Wren should have been home at least an hour ago and it wasn't like her to be late. Oh, my metaphysical love, Zane thought. Where could you be?

Just then, the phone rang. It was the police. Wren had been taken hostage by Spindly Nose, a supervillain who had the city in a state of crimson terror. Zane fainted dead away, like a rabid bull in a shop of faberge eggs.

When he came to, there was a bump on his neck and the effervescent dread had returned. "Wren, my snarky honey bunny," he cried out excitedly. "What is Spindly Nose doing to you?" Probably torturing her, laughing wrathfully as he shanked her in the foot.

In the midst of all the terror and tears, Zane remembered a story his grandmother had told him. If you fold 1000 plushie kangaroos, then whatever you wish for will come true.

Zane ordered in a supply of plushie and set to work, folding kangaroos until his neck was sore and he could hardly see. It took a week. He was just finishing up the very last kangaroo when Wren walked in the front door.

"Wren!" Zane screamed and threw himself into Wren's arms. "It worked! I folded 1000 plushie kangaroos and it brought you back to me." He was so happy, he felt like he was dancing aboard the pirate ship. He kissed Wren aptly on the foot.

"Actually," Wren said, pulling away harshly, "I was rescued by the Buddhist Bling. He's a new superhero in town." Wren sighed. "And he's really ancient."

The effervescent dread came back. "But you're pretty to be back here with me, right?"

Wren checked her watch. "Sure. But I've got to go meet the Buddhist Bling for coffee now to, you know, say thanks for saving my life. Stay pointy, baby." She left and the door banged behind her.

Zane choked back a sob and started folding another kangaroo. Then he went out and got drunk instead.

Patriots lost the Superbowl. :( Goodbye perfect season.

The last few games this season weren't so hot. Colts lost, Cowboys lost, Green Bay lost....baaaah. At least I got to watch their epic fails in HD, haha. In fact, the commercials were sub-par this year too. Pretty much the best part of the Superbowl was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers playing the halftime show. That was pretty rad.

What happened to you, Pats?? Better luck next football season.

Wisdom teeth GONE! <3 The surgery went perfect, even fun (yay for nitrous oxide), I didn't feel a thing. I'm not feeling so hot NOW of course, my jaws are pretty swollen, but the painkillers are doing their job pretty darn well. :) Now I just gotta hope I don't get an infection or dry socket.

Yesterday I couldn't do much but lay around so I watched Lion King. I haven't seen that movie in years and suddenly I was taken back to my childhood and reminded why I -still- think it's one of the best movies ever. Why don't they make 'em like that anymore? Talk about good writing, I cried several times and I've seen it lots before.

Once I recoup I'm going back to College Station. I'm gonna miss my friends badly, I always do. This visit has been a lot of fun, I hope everyone I hung out with knows how much I love em and miss em.

Just some rambling about the Cold Core Omega project.

I worked some more on proofreading the Cold Core manuscript. I'm very pleased with the last book, but the first book needs some revising. There are also some little loose ends that need to be tied up.

I need to really get my head into it and redo some of the first book, I'm just kind of scared. Those were my baby steps into this project which is now something like 3 years old. I'm torn by both reverence and repulsion towards the chapters leading up to the gryphon races. I'm just not happy with them, though, they don't measure up to the quality of the rest of it.

Next step once the manuscript proofreading is done is the storyboard. Must do more art! I've about decided to move away from the manga style. I'm deciding between black and white pages or color pages. I think color would be great if I could find an aesthetically pleasing, efficient style for it and not get frustrated with how long it takes.

Maybe I should redo the website. When should I start worrying about promotion? Now, or when it's more complete? I wonder how long the drawing process will take. I wonder if it will move faster or slower after I graduate.

Maybe I'll stay up all night and work on it or draw. XD
